Abstract
The main objective of this study was to determine the influence of a games program on the development of coordinative abilities in first-year secondary school students at the Cesar Vallejo Educational Institution in Amarilis, Huánuco, in 2024. The methodology employed was applied research, classified as follows: the study was quantitative based on the type of data collected, experimental in terms of the object of study, pre-experimental in its degree of manipulation, and explanatory in its level of investigation. The population consisted of 71 students, and a stratified sample of 25 students from section “A” of the Cesar Vallejo Educational Institution was selected using non-probability convenience sampling. Data was collected through observation using an observation guide. The results of both tests indicate that 80.00% of the students were at the "Beginning" level regarding the application of the games program. After the treatment, in the post-test, 96.00% of the students reached the "Expected Achievement" level, demonstrating a significant improvement from the program. Likewise, parametric tests such as Shapiro-Wilk and Wilcoxon were used to test the hypotheses, given the small sample sizes for independent studies. Notable results showed significant differences between the pre-test and post-test, with a two-tailed p-value of 0.000 and less than 0.005. This indicates that the use of the games program significantly developed the coordinative abilities of the students in 1st grade "A" of secondary school, thus proving the alternative hypothesis against the null hypothesis. In conclusion, the games program significantly influences the development of general coordinative abilities in the students of 1st grade "A" of secondary school, demonstrating. A significant difference was observed with the application of the games program.
